Our Story
Descent of Elysium is built around a simple belief: Hungarian Vizslas should be bred with purpose, knowledge and respect for the generations that came before them.
Behind the kennel are Lindsay and Amazon. Together we share everyday life—from quiet mornings at home to training, travelling and competing across the world.
Amazon has earned recognition in the show ring, but titles are only one reflection of quality. Her sound temperament, instinct and ability to be both an accomplished show dog and a devoted companion are the qualities that matter most. Those same qualities form the foundation of everything we hope to preserve for future generations.
Where it Began
Dogs have always been part of my life. I grew up surrounded by them, mostly terrier mixes and companion dogs, and from an early age I was fascinated by their individuality, loyalty and the quiet way they become woven into the fabric of a family.
Although dogs were always part of my world, it was many years later that I discovered the breed that truly captured my heart.
In 2023, our first Hungarian Vizsla entered our lives. Through her, I discovered the remarkable versatility of the breed—from the field to the show ring. Yet her greatest gift had nothing to do with titles or achievements. She taught me that the strongest partnerships are built on mutual trust, understanding and a deep respect for one another.

One year later, I was introduced to a carefully planned litter in Hungary that immediately felt different.
Amazon possessed something impossible to measure but impossible to overlook: presence, intelligence, kindness and an unmistakable spark.
She became the foundation of everything Descent of Elysium represents today.
Philosophy
Descent of Elysium is being built on the belief that responsible breeding begins long before a litter is born. It begins with years of learning, careful observation and the discipline to make thoughtful decisions with the future of the breed in mind.
Balance is not an ambition. It is the standard.
Our objective is that the Hungarian Vizsla should remain true to its purpose: a sound and mentally stable dog, capable in the field, elegant in type and, above all, a devoted companion within the family.
Health, temperament, instinct, structure and overall well-being will always take precedence. Every generation should leave the breed stronger than the one before.
DESCENT OF ELYSIUM
The name Descent of Elysium reflects the principles and both heritage and hope.
Descent represents lineage, continuity and the responsibility we carry towards future generations.
Elysium, in Greek mythology, represents a place reserved for the exceptional in total peace and harmony.
Together they represent our commitment: to nurture future generations of Hungarian Vizslas with integrity, knowledge and respect for the generations that come from us – and those yet to come.
