Behind Descent of Elysium is Lindsay, together with her Hungarian Vizslas, who are first and foremost family members.
Our dogs live closely with us, sharing everyday life, travel, training, competitions and quiet moments at home. While achievements in work or the show ring are rewarding, the well-being, balance, and happiness of our dogs always come first.
I grew up surrounded by dogs, mainly terrier mixes and companion breeds, which shaped a lifelong appreciation for canine character and companionship. In 2022, after extensive research into breeds and bloodlines, the Hungarian Vizsla became a natural choice — a breed that matched both in personality and lifestyle. In the spring of 2023, our first Vizsla, Jazz, joined our lives. Through her, I was introduced to hunting training and the world of dog shows, while she remained, above all else, a devoted family dog and constant companion.
In 2024, I encountered a carefully bred litter in Hungary that immediately stood out for its quality and purpose. From this litter came Amazon of Skyrocket, a young female whose development, temperament, and natural presence quickly confirmed the promise we had seen early on. Her achievements at a young age are the result of genetics, consistency, structure, balance and lots of love — qualities I deeply value and aim to preserve.
Inspired by these experiences, Descent of Elysium was officially registered as a Hungarian Vizsla kennel. The name reflects both heritage and intention. Descent represents lineage, continuity, and responsibility toward the generations we shape, passing down qualities of strength, loyalty, and grace. Elysium symbolizes a place of perfect happiness in Greek mythology—an idyllic paradise where the best of the best reside. Together, Descent of Elysium represents the legacy of exceptional dogs we strive to nurture, bred with love and care, destined for their own paradise of health, joy, and companionship.
