Breeding carries a responsibility beyond the puppies born today. At Descent of Elysium, we breed selectively, with the ambition to preserve the Hungarian Vizsla as a sound, versatile hunting dog with natural instinct, balanced conformation, stable temperament and a devoted nature.
Breeding is our passion, not our livelihood. We plan a litter only when we believe in the individual dogs, their ancestry and what their combination may contribute to future generations.

No dog or bloodline is without its limitations. We aim to make informed breeding decisions that minimize known risks while preserving the qualities we value in the Hungarian Vizsla.

We believe that finding the right home is as important as selecting the right combination. Our responsibility does not end when a puppy leaves us, but continues through the relationships we build with their owners and the lifelong interest we take in the dogs we have brought into the world.

Our puppies are born and raised within our family, receiving individual attention and becoming familiar with everyday home life. We introduce new experiences gradually, with socialisation tailored to each puppy’s development and character.

We take time to understand both our puppies and their prospective families so we can help make a thoughtful match. We welcome owners who appreciate the Vizsla’s intelligence, sensitivity, natural instincts and need for close companionship, whether they enjoy hunting, dog sports, showing or an active family life.
A LIFETIME OF RESPONSIBILITY
Our responsibility does not end when a puppy leaves our home. We remain available to our puppy owners for guidance and support throughout their dog’s life, and we value the relationships that grow from sharing this journey together.
Should circumstances ever change and an owner become unable to care for their dog, we ask that they contact us first. We are committed to helping find a responsible solution, whether that means welcoming the dog back into our care or assisting in finding a suitable new home.
