On March 16, 2024, the Schaal der Kempen Dog Show was held in Weelde, Belgium. This year, with the radiant sun as an ally, dog enthusiasts from all corners gathered for this international event.

Our journey began at 6 o’clock in the morning, before the sun had risen. The roads were quiet, allowing us to drive smoothly. As a result, we arrived on time and had the chance to relax, enjoy breakfast, and explore the venue.

Jazz, elegant and full of confidence, competed for the second time in the junior class. Her youthful energy shone in the ring, bringing a smile to the judge’s face. Jazz couldn’t keep her enthusiastic tail and rear end still, clearly showing how much she enjoyed being in the spotlight.

The excitement peaked when Jazz won the FCI-CACIB-J and was crowned Best Female and Best Junior under honorable judge Leen van Genechten (BE). In the battle for Best of Breed (BOB), Jazz faced an experienced male competitor, four years her senior. While the judges praised her potential, they acknowledged she still needs some time to fully mature. Proudly, she received the BOS (Best Opposite Sex)!

As Best Junior, she earned her place in the group 7 main ring—a truly impressive experience.

Now, with just one international point left to achieve the title of International Junior Champion, Jazz is ready to continue her journey. Here’s to the next exciting adventure, Jazz!
