𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐫 𝐊𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐧 – 22.03.2025 🇧🇪

This past weekend, Amazon and I traveled south to Belgium for the International Dog Show in Weelde. It also happened to be Ruben’s birthday, though he couldn’t join us as he’s currently recovering from surgery.

We had one goal: to complete Amazon’s Belgian Junior Champion title. A perfect birthday gift, right?

In the breed ring under judge Boris Spoljaric (HR), Amazon—just 11 months old—shone with elegance and confidence, earning:

• 1 Excellent in Junior Class
• Best Junior
• Best Female
• Best of Opposite Sex (BOS)
• and with that: 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗚𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡

Mission accomplished… or so I thought.

Amazon had more surprises waiting. In the main ring, she was shortlisted in Junior FCI Group 7, then advanced to the Junior Best in Show Finals under judge Ray Strudwick (UK). Standing in the spotlight among the top junior dogs of the day, we held our breath as the winners were called:

🥉: Siberian Husky

🥈: Miniature German Spitz

🥇: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁-𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 — Amazon of Skyrocket!

I’m so incredibly proud of our young girl, and equally proud of us. From stepping into the ring as absolute beginners to experiencing this unforgettable moment—winning Best in Show Junior together—it’s a journey that leaves me speechless.
