Amazon’s First Show at the Agardi Dog Show in Hungary: A Triumphant Weekend by the Lake

The summer of 2024 brought us to one of the most anticipated events on the dog show calendar — the Agardi Dog Show in Hungary. Set in the picturesque surroundings of a lakeside venue, this show was as much about enjoying the beauty of the landscape as it was about celebrating our dogs. For us, this event held a special place in our hearts as it marked a major milestone for our young pup, Amazon, who was making her debut at her very first dog show.

We were beyond excited to see how she would fare. Being a real Hungarian beauty, we thought it would be perfect to introduce her to the world of dog shows in her home country — a fitting way to celebrate her Hungarian heritage. The weather presented a challenge though, for both dogs and handlers. Temperatures soared above 35 degrees Celsius throughout the weekend, making the competition even more intense. The heat made it difficult to keep cool, but Amazon handled the high temperatures like a pro. We made sure to keep her hydrated and shaded, but the extreme heat was certainly a test of endurance for all of us.

Even though the challenges, Amazon did not disappoint! She was awarded Very Promising 1 on all three days of the event, showcasing her excellent structure, movement, and fiesty charm in the ring. This was a remarkable achievement for her first-ever show and a sign of her incredible potential. But the highlight of the weekend came when Amazon was crowned Best Minor Puppy by the end of the show.
