It also happened to be Ruben\u2019s birthday, though he couldn\u2019t join us as he\u2019s currently recovering from surgery.<\/p><p>We had one goal: to complete Amazon\u2019s Belgian Junior Champion title. A perfect birthday gift, right?<\/p><p>In the breed ring under judge Boris Spoljaric (HR), Amazon\u2014just 11 months old\u2014shone with elegance and confidence, earning:<\/p><ul><li>1 Excellent in Junior Class<\/li><li>Best Junior<\/li><li>Best Female<\/li><li>Best of Opposite Sex (BOS)<\/li><li>and with that: \ud835\uddd5\ud835\uddd8\ud835\udddf\ud835\uddda\ud835\udddc\ud835\uddd4\ud835\udde1 \ud835\udddd\ud835\udde8\ud835\udde1\ud835\udddc\ud835\udde2\ud835\udde5 \ud835\uddd6\ud835\udddb\ud835\uddd4\ud835\udde0\ud835\udde3\ud835\udddc\ud835\udde2\ud835\udde1<\/li><\/ul><p>Mission accomplished\u2026 or so I thought.<\/p><p>Amazon had more surprises waiting. In the main ring, she was shortlisted in Junior FCI Group 7, then advanced to the Junior Best in Show Finals under judge Ray Strudwick (UK). Standing in the spotlight among the top junior dogs of the day, we held our breath as the winners were called:<\/p><p>\ud83e\udd49: Siberian Husky<\/p><p>\ud83e\udd48: Miniature German Spitz<\/p><p>\ud83e\udd47: \ud835\udde7\ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddf2 \ud835\udddb\ud835\ude02\ud835\uddfb\ud835\uddf4\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddfb \ud835\udde6\ud835\uddf5\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddff\ud835\ude01-\ud835\udddb\ud835\uddee\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddff\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddf1 \ud835\udde3\ud835\uddfc\ud835\uddf6\ud835\uddfb\ud835\ude01\ud835\uddf2\ud835\uddff \u2014 Amazon of Skyrocket!<\/p><p>I\u2019m so incredibly proud of our young girl, and equally proud of us. From stepping into the ring as absolute beginners to experiencing this unforgettable moment\u2014winning Best in Show Junior together\u2014it\u2019s a journey that leaves me speechless.<\/p><p>Thank you to the honorable judges for recognizing her qualities:<\/p><ul><li>Boris Spoljaric (HR) \u2013 Breed<\/li><li>Ray Strudwick (UK) \u2013 JBIS<\/li><\/ul><p>And thank you to every single person who supported us, helped me on the day, and offered kind words and encouragement.
